The yard had followed Hunter’s instructions for tuning it, as in the manual – Wrong! this won’t get it tight enough. You really have to pull it down – even then it’ll have 14 inches of headstay sag, which is OK – by putting a pry bar on the turnbuckles! Don’t forget to do a realignment of the shaft afterwards though! After sailing it for 3 or 4 days, we even had to tighten it up again.)
